Fircom is hosting a mens only weekend. It will be a time for men to be men: chop wood, wear plaid, use bathroom humor. Showers not required. Some light volunteering is appreciated as this is an at-cost weekend which includes accommodation and water taxi. Participants will bring their own food and stay in Craigcroft. Maximum 24 participants.

Alumni Gathering - Session 1

Fircom is offering a weekend for alumni to come back to their favourite summer camp and make some new memories. Bring your photo albums and mementos and share what made Fircom so magical. Reconnect with the new Fircom as it moves forward. Some light volunteering is appreciated as this is an at-cost weekend which includes accommodation and water taxi. Participants will bring their own food and stay in Craigcroft. Maximum 24 participants.

Grand Re-Opening

It finally happened! After waiting six long years Fircom has reopened. April 29, 2012 will mark the end of our pilot year. Come celebrate all that has happened. Heavily subsidized at only $10, the grand re-opening will be an amazing opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Fircom. Coinciding with Camping Sunday there will be a service followed by speeches, a hearty lunch and afternoon activities. Maximum 120 partipants.

Paddler's Bootcamp
Arrival: Friday May 4, 2011, 5pmDeparture: Sunday May 6, 2011, 3pm

Fee: Free for fundraiser's who have hit their targets
The Paddlethon is reaching epic proportions and fundraisers are getting the training they need to rock our two day paddle. Participants will get their canoe certification and two days of practicing paddling together. Fundraising training sessions will be offered as well as planning for the BBQ party to celebrate the paddlethon touch down in downtown Vancouver on June 23, 2012!

Farm to Fork Retreat - Session 1
Arrival: Friday May 11, 2011, 5pmDeparture: Sunday May 13, 2011, 3pm

Farm to Fork programming gives people a chance to experience the entire food cycle: planting, harvesting, cooking, EATING, and composting! You'll get to plant and harvest in the farm, learn about the edible forest, try out different slow food cooking techniques, and master tasty, healthy, fresh receipes with local ingredients. Fircom has a sustainable micro-agriculture farm only footsteps from our beautiful new dining hall. Neil Carrodus, Farm Coordinator, will teach you how to grow good veggies while Head Chef, Ana-Luz Cobon, explains the intracecies of making food with love.

Women's Retreat

Ladies only! An opportunity to get away from the men, kids and responsibilities and go at your own pace. A weekend to connect with the women in your life or meet new friends. There will be traditional camp activities like canoeing, archery, mountain biking and cooking along with yoga classes, meditation, and other women centered programming.
