New Dock
Camp Fircom is in the initial planning stages of choosing a dock system for Sunday School Beach. The first summer camping sessions in six years took place during the summer of 2011 to great success. There was a successful accreditation visit from the United Church of Canada and in 2012 Fircom will be able to apply for accreditation from the BC Camping Association. In order to become accredited, Camp Fircom will need a dock for launching canoes and swimming. Fircom will need to raise approximately $70,000. Give now to bring Fircom up to snuff!Camperships
Camp Fircom is always acception donations towards camperships which subsidize children, youth, and families who would not otherwise be able to afford camp. Coming to camp and getting a break from the daily grind of city living allows many low-income people the opportunity for a summer vacation. This chance for rest and relaxation amid the amazing natural surroundings of Gambier allows for spiritual growth, personal growth, and just plain old fun. Financial donations through the mail, in any amount are always welcome. Ten or twenty dollars from a few people soon adds up to hundreds and thousands of dollars! All gifts to Camp Fircom over twenty dollars are recognized with an official charity tax receipt.
